Summary
Troubled Civil War veteran Thos Murphy makes his way home to northern Virginia after learning of his brothers death. While trying to piece together the life he once had, Thos becomes obsessed with his solitude and the urge for atonement. Thos is interrupted by a father and son who have moved into his brother’s abandoned home. Reluctantly he lets them stay and begins the path to acceptance, helped by his childhood friend, Kate. Soon told the untold story of his brothers murder unfolds before Thos and the rage of a battered warrior rises to the surface again in this dramatic, brutal and starkly beautiful western.
